Privacy Policy

In short: motlo has no accounts and no servers. Your vehicles, records and documents stay on your iPhone. We don't collect, sell or share your data, and there's no advertising or tracking in the app.

Who we are

motlo is an iOS app made by Doğukan Yıldız ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@motlo.app.

Data you enter

To remind you of dates, motlo stores what you enter: vehicle details (such as plate, make, model and mileage), inspection, insurance, tax and service records, expenses, notes, and documents or photos you scan or attach. All of this is kept in the app's private storage on your device. We have no access to it.

iCloud

If you use iCloud Backup, your motlo data is included in your device backup under your own Apple Account. If you turn on iCloud sync in a future version, your data is stored in your private iCloud database, which only you can access. Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud.

Camera and photos

motlo uses the camera or your photo library only when you choose to scan or attach a document. Images are saved on your device and are never uploaded by us.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone. No reminder data leaves your device.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app only learns from Apple whether you have an active purchase.

Analytics and tracking

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous statistics such as crash reports.

Email

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any list without asking.

Deleting your data

Deleting motlo from your iPhone deletes its data from the device. Because we don't hold your data, there's nothing for us to delete on our side. Remember that older device or iCloud backups may still contain it until they're replaced.

Children

motlo is made for vehicle owners and isn't directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. If a change affects how your data is handled, we'll also mention it in the app.

Users in Türkiye (KVKK)

This section is our notice under Article 10 of Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK").

Data in the app stays on your device (and in your own iCloud, if you use it). It isn't sent to, seen or processed by us, and isn't transferred to anyone.
Support email: if you write to us, we process your name (if given), email address and message only to answer your request, based on our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f), and keep it for up to 2 years after your request is closed.
Transfer abroad: our email is hosted by Apple (iCloud Mail), whose servers may be outside Türkiye. This transfer is made only to provide the email service, in line with KVKK Art. 9.
Your rights under KVKK Art. 11 include learning whether your data is processed, asking for information, correction or deletion, learning who it's shared with, objecting to automated decisions against you, and claiming compensation for unlawful processing.
